The MHKA Booth at this year's Dutchess County Fair was our most successful ever. We provided valuable information to thousands of people. The "Meet the Breed" tables were staffed with a wide variety of different breeds, many not commonly seen, and many of which were breed champions and therapy dogs. The programs this year were well-received by the public.
We'd like to thank AKC judge Galye Bontecou, who did a beautiful job of explaining how a dog show is judged, and Candice Cunningham from Positive Paws, our Canine Good Citizen evaluator, who explained the prupose and process of becoming a Canine Good Citizen. Candice also held a wonderful program on K9 Nose Works. Debbie and Amanda Scannell from 4H provided two facinating programs on Rally Obedience, and Pat Tetrault from Top Notch Obedience Training School showed us how to "Stop Begging Your Dog To Behave".
Thanks to Barbara Glazer and Sharon Greenberg from The Pug Dog Club Of Greater New York, who helped us staff our booth. And we can't thank Dale Mountain, Canine Tent chairperson, enough for all her support. Finally, thanks to all our members whose hard work and dedication made this event such a resonding success.
